Jessica sent this to me and I just had to post it to pass along. I cannot stress how frightened I am by the prospect of Gov. Palin as a potential President. In this LA Times Opinion feature, Gloria Steinem puts forth an extremely articulate argument for why Palin is the wrong woman for the job. I am of the opinion that she is the wrong person for the job, male or female. She is a wolf in wolf's clothing, people. How are so many people seeing her a a harmless sheep? Also, I can't stand the type of campaigning where a candidate will say something totally outrageous and FALSE and most people are too stupid to care if the statement is factual and so they just go on believing fallacious arguments.
The only positive thing I've seen/heard so far is the media seems pretty keen on exposing all of the mccain/palin misstatements and false accusations. Let's only hope America is paying attention.
i am ready for tonight's ABC interview with palin. maybe then she will have to answer real questions and show her teeth to america. evil.
Acccccckkkkkk! Did you see the latest Newsweek? Seeing that scary woman toting a gun on countless magazine covers is creepy to say the least, and you know I just love a woman who wants to deny other women the right to choose ... from what I've heard she dicussed all of the options with her pregnant teen. Good thing that was out of the way before she became the Republican's little star. I work in a very liberal enviornment, and the fear is palpable. When I think back to the last election and the depression following Bush's second term win... gulp.
