j a c k p o t

youtubing with the family last night led to the discovery of the holy grail of all videos...in the eyes of our children at least. this one has almost all of their most favorite things: the ramones, animation, skeletons, frankenstein, ghosts, hitting things with baseball bats, and lots of musical instruments being played enthusiastically. their inner circle would have been complete had the teletubbies made a cameo appearance. the little maniacs were glowing with happiness during each of the twelve times we watched the clip.

I love that your kids love the Ramones. I used to live in the same building as Joey Ramone--and he seemed very nice when I rode the elevator with him!

my pleasure, jessica! i love to be able to pass along the goodies we find for our very strange little men. we were deeply entrenched in a mahna mahna phase last winter. the muppet show dvds never made it out of the dvd player for about 2 months.

another thing they are really into is america's funniest home videos. they call it "uh-oh!" because that's what is said before every fall, crotch-shot, cat on baby attack, or whatever other golden humiliating moments get captured on film and replayed for all of america to laugh at. and youtube has so many clips and montage sets from AFV. try that, if you dare. the subtitled talking dogs & cats set is the funniest by far.

and yes yes yes to the 2 girls : two clicks. i have just been trying to figure out how we should go about it. i have no idea. should we theme it or just do it organically and see what happens? we need to brainstorm this, cause i surely am overthinking it.

alexis...if joey ramone had lived in my building i would have immediately turned into my 13 year old self and deliberately ignored him at every encounter out of tremendous feelings of inadequacy and shyness...and then cursed myself for being so stupid stupid stupid for not saying hello. regardless, my envy is boiling over. what i'd have given for the opportunity to embarrass myself....

Whoa. I cant wait to show this to kids when I get home tomorrow night. Victoria went through this Spiderman kick where she couldnt get enough of the movies for some reason. Spiderman was her boyfriend for a little while. Anyway, When I showed her the Ramones Spiderman video, she flipped out. Awesomeness.
