powhatan hill
There's a park in our neck of the woods that has the best view of Richmond. Rumor has it that it got it's name because it was the site of Chief Powhatan's camp. You know him...Pocahontas' pops. I tried to find the Billy Childish song Pocahontas Was Her Name on You Tube but couldn't. I found this though....one of the kids' favorites. Have a listen.

oh how i love billy childish - i remember the look on my mom's face when she picked up the single and on one side - "I've been fucking your daughters" and if that wasn't bad enough to just put it down, the other side, "and pissing on your lawn." and i was in heaven.
